Digital Spy is seeking new reporters to produce coverage of the forthcoming series of Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack for the site.

Digital Spy is also renowned for its extensive and unique coverage of Big Brother each year through its dedicated spin off site, DS:BB (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/bigbrother/). The site ranks by far as the biggest, non-Channel 4 online destination for Big Brother updates and has won a WebUser gold award ahead of its C4 rival.

The position will last the duration of the upcoming Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack series, which is expected to begin in the first week of January and last for between three to four weeks.

Your Skills

The successful candidates will:
- monitor the live streaming feed during shift times, taking accurate quotes and notes throughout
- compile news reports based on their transcripts
- have the ability to remain impartial in tone and conform to the DS:BB house style
- meet specific targets in terms of quantity, quality and speed of output

Standard shifts will be eight hours, including a one hour break. Due to the nature of the series, the work rota comprises shifts starting at 9am and running through to 3am, every day of the week. Shifts worked during normal weekday daytime hours will generally be performed at Digital Spy's offices near Waterloo in Central London, while other shifts must be performed from home. You must ensure you have the ability to work from home (i.e. computer with suitably fast internet connection) for such shifts. The rota will be produced with some degree of flexibility to ensure that all reporters work to their preferences. Partial shifts may also be offered depending on schedules and people's availability.

Application

To apply, candidates must enclose a CV together with a short article summarising one incident from the recent series of Big Brother in no more than 200 words, bearing in mind the requirement that pieces be impartial at all times.

Salaries will be dependent on experience.
