We're calling it 'DS ID' and we hope that you like it.
Previously a user would have to use their Facebook account to comment on our editorial content whilst maintaining a separate log-in for our forums - and two systems on one site can never be a good thing.
While the option to use Facebook to comment on Digital Spy pages remains, enabling this new alternative means that even more of our readers can now get involved with our growing community.
Once you're signed in, you'll now be able to interact on the forums plus our news, features and videos seamlessly.
What if I already have a forum account?
The only difference you will notice is that the page to change your password is different. It will now take you to the DS ID control panel, which works the same way as the current User CP, except it controls your account for both the forums and the editorial site.
This is a first-stage, beta release of what will be an integral part of the site. We want to make it easier for everyone to have their say and for that user dialogue and opinion to be at the heart of the Digital Spy experience.
If you have any feedback or ideas for future improvements, please do contact us.
Is that Bradley Cooper, star of The Hangover and The A-Team?
Why, yes it is! And that's Digital Spy he's enjoying on his laptop. Perhaps in a break from filming a scene with that awesome little monkey.
Mr Cooper ('Coops') is just one of the users who place our forums in the top 25 busiest in the world and, combined with our editorial site, make Digital Spy home to over 12 million unique entertainment, showbiz and tech fans every month.
We hope that you continue to enjoy too.
