Entertainment reporters
Salary: 14k-18k starting, DOE
Full details: Digital Spy is one of the UK's largest media and entertainment news websites, registering over 70 million monthly page impressions and a unique audience reach of 1.8 million. The site is also home to one of the busiest internet discussion forums in the world.
We are looking for someone to provide news content for the entertainment sections of the site.
The successful candidate will have:
* A good knowledge of the entertainment industry, particularly in the area of celebrity news, but also including television, movies and music
* The ability to source and produce news articles in the house style, with high frequency and working to fast turnaround times
* Experience preparing and conducting interviews with celebrities
* The ability to research and produce commissioned feature pieces
* Using the in-house article management system and liaising with the news editor and content team to ensure continuity of coverage
* Attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
The applicant will be based at Digital Spy's offices near Waterloo in Central London.
Contract, hours: Standard working hours are 9AM to 5PM. Some out of hours and Saturday working may be required.
Entertainment reporters are also expected to attend relevant events outside of these hours from time to time.
A standard first employment contract with Digital Spy is fixed length, of term six months. The first contract is offered upon satisfactory completion of a probationary period of three months.
