Digital Spy is looking for a graphics-savvy person capable of manipulating and generating aesthetically pleasing images for our website in Adobe Photoshop.

Digital Spy is the 4th largest entertainment news website in the UK with in excess of 2.1 million unique users on its main Entertainment News site and 3.1 million on its Forum Network. The only larger properties in terms of audience in the UK are The Sun online, MSN Entertainment and BBC entertainment news (Source: Comscore, Jan 2008). The site registers over 80 million page impressions a month.

The main site is updated around-the-clock with news and features in entertainment areas such as showbiz, movies, music and television while the media section covers the latest in the TV broadcasting industry, with a particular focus on digital television and television equipment.

About This Position
The successful candidate will be involved with:
- Sourcing and cropping publicity and news images to standardized sizes for news articles, interviews, and index pages
- Generating and designing backgrounds, page headers and other graphics for feature articles, indices etc
- Generating ideas for how Digital Spy can enhance its graphic design

The number of images to be sourced and manipulated varies day-to-day, with fast turnaround times required in support of the needs of the editorial team.

This is a part time job requiring around 10 hrs per week with a degree of flexibility. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is flexible and available to deliver these images in a timely manner.

This work can be done from home but occasional visits to our offices in Waterloo might be an advantage for the successful candidate.

Fees will be dependent on experience.
