The sordid topic of coin

Last night we attended a movie-based pub quiz. 'We' in this case includes Simon, Mayer, Ben Rawson-Jones and myself.

To be honest with you I wasn't sure why I'd agreed to it beyond the fact that it was in aid of Pakistani flood relief efforts since, as previously revealed, I hadn't seen Back To The Future 'til a few weeks ago* but I managed to prove my worth by knowing the name of the ship in Alien, the name of the baby sister in Toy Story, and the final line of A Clockwork Orange. Simon excelled in the field of 'people who aren't Mel Brooks in The Producers' and 'actors participating in the Super Mario travesty film', Mayer chipped in with "FIJI!" and "1985!" while Brawson had to be restrained during a discussion over the original theatrical cut versus the director's/final cut of Blade Runner.

I was also able to exercise my artistic streak in a challenge to draw a section from a classic film. So that you can join in I've included the scribble masterpiece below for you to guess at (it's probably the easiest thing in the world). Meanwhile, up north Chris Allen and Ryan Love were at a separate pub - the Rovers Return to be exact! From all the hugs dished out to the pair of them I would say that Kris Green is no longer top of Sue 'superflirt' Nicholls's affections! Here's a pic of Ryan and Sue (Rue? Syan?) and one of the Rovers in the midst of the awesome street party where Roy Cropper appears to have turned the tables on a journalist and is interviewing them instead).
