The North Carolina Museum of History will put the clothes Clay Aiken wore on his March 11, 2003 American Idol performance on exhibit tomorrow (March 2). They will also become part of the Museum's permanent collection.

Raleigh native Aiken is in his home town on Monday for a sold-out concert with Kelly Clarkson. He also put in appearances at the WRAL-FM breakfast show and WRAL-TV5's noon news.

Elizabeth F. Buford, the Museum's director, explained:

"Today’s popular culture often becomes tomorrow’s history; we are pleased to have objects connected to Clay Aiken’s early success."
