Ramiele Malubay is the latest contestant to be voted off American Idol.
The 20-year-old from Florida performed 'Do I Ever Cross Your Mind' in this week's Dolly Parton-themed show and admitted to finding it "a little" difficult to sing country music.
Judge Randy Jackson described Ramiele's performance as "kind of alright", while Simon Cowell described it as "forgettable" and "reminiscent of something you would see and hear on a cruise ship".
The finalists opened this week's show with a group rendition of Parton's '9 to 5'. The country singer later appeared on the live broadcast to perform the track 'Jesus & Gravity'.
Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White, who avoided eviction after a public vote, go into the final eight with David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Cook, Michael Johns, Syesha Mercado and Carly Smithson.
