Real Radio Wales has relaunched on satellite two years after being taken off the platform.

The Cardiff-based station began broadcasting in 2000 but was replaced with a national music-only service on satellite in 2006.

The "jukebox" station, called Real Radio Digital, has now been taken off air and Real Radio Wales reintroduced to its EPG slot, 0146.

Programme director Ricky Durkin said: "This is fantastic news for listeners as Real Radio spreads up the country and into North Wales via Sky. We are looking forward to reaching areas which have been waiting for a really great radio station."
