i thought seasaon 2 was really good i admit that it wasnt as good as season 1. the only let down was that some of the charcters didnt have much as other characters. the season finale was alot better than season 1s finale. it was ashame about the strike though because they could of done alot more with the season i cant wait for season 3 though

On the whole the season was still good - there is no such thing as too much Hiro, even in Fuedal Japan (a storyline that was enjoyable). Had the writers strike not occurred then the story would have progressed at a different rate - the original plan was for the virus to escape, just imagine what could have been! There were a few missed opportunities but taking the facts that the ending was rushed and not as intended into account it was still a good season but the best is yet to come...

I found nothing wron with Heroes Season 2. I enjoyed it as much as the first season, just for different reasons. The first was full of this mystery, and tension. Would they save the world? Who are these people? etc. This season addressed who they were. We learnt a lot as to the generation before our current Heroes, the "founders" of the movement as such. Sylar was evil throughout, even if he couldnt do much. And hands down best character is Adam, I await to see more of him once he escapes his tomb. Echoes of Jack in Torchwood with the no die + burying thing anybody?

Okay, so some aspects didn't work, but overall, it's still an awesome show, and vastly superior to most other shows at the moment (the tedious Grey's, overrated Terminator, painful Gossip girl: Dexter and BSG are exceptions). I'm still loving it. Keeping Milo half naked for most of the season helped too.

I think that the finale was a let-down, and they should have tied up at least some of the loose ends before opening more stories... it will end up being such a mess next season. I was disappointed by the nathan story, because it was predictable, and evben if he did die, it wouldnt be sooo amazing and shocking, because they could always get hold of claire's blood and bring him back. I think now that they have claire's blood, the element of dying won't be so upsetting and death is not really an obstacle any more... it kinda kills the whole tension of ''omg, will nathan die?'' because he can always come back, like the other characters/villians too. I'm thinking, if there was no writer's strike, would the episode still have sucked? I hope not.

Totally agree with most of the review. The Japanese saga could have been done in 2 episodes. The Adam being Kensai was revealed too early. We already knew he killed Hiros father the moment he revealed himself to Peter... it should have been the other way around. The story as a whole was building up very nicely tho even with these hiccups but obviously it felt rushed and hurried at the last episode to the point it felt the writer had written with a "couldnt care less anymore" attitude. For example, we were all waiting on Noah Bennett making his escape or using Elle as a tool to get out of the prison.... instead he just appears on the doorstep with the weakest of explanations to just end the show off quickly. The Claire Bennett storyline should have ended with her father being killed and she being angry.... and then Noah being brought back to life as the final scene of the series. THAT would have made a gripping ending. Sadly it was clear that it was a show that was cancelled early on and all plotlines had to be finished off in 2 episodes rather than string them on for another 6 or so fleshing it all out with drama rather than just answering questions. Hopefully season 3 will fair a lot better with the plot revealed to be the saving of earth exploding completely..... but with so many great opportunities wasted in S2.... it could be a case of "been there... done that already" with Sylars abilities, Noah back with the Company, etc.

the season didnt start off that great but it got better. i think it wasn't too much of a let down and it's still one of the best sieries on British TV at the moment.

I agree the first 7 episodes of S2 were non-entities. Why didn't they just give Sylar back his powers and put him back on the hunt early? That would have given him a few new powers with which to maim and torture and would have added a gory dark angle to the show. This could have left us with "the company" trying to remove powers, Sylar trying to become all powerful, Adam trying to wipe everyone out and all the others stopping them while trying to live their lives/get to grips with their powers. Much more scope for conflict.

I gave up on it...the pacing was way beyond languid...it sent me to sleep. He should apologize....it was poor. And they cancelled Jericho? Yanks are nuts!

I think it was just as good as series 1 and cannot wait for the 3rd

A real let down from series 1. A real, once you show all your cards, there are no secrets left to reveal. A real mess.

reading your description i couldn't agree more, however i stopped watching it with 4 more ep's to go and according to you, i missed the best bits. hiro has the ability to travel in time?? so why doesn't he? the Irish people with the american Irish accents except for the poor accent from the English girl?? the Mexicans???....why? west................. i will never forget the horn rimmed man....... what about when you nearly ran Claire over and the horn rimmed man was standing next to you? crikey.............I'm boring myself now!!

Not as good as the first series. Writing got quite hammy and expositional and that blonde lady with the split-personality is unbearable. Apart from that - I loved it. Sylar was incredible and Hiro was so watchable, what a character! No prizes for that Leprechaun girl love-story with Peter though - big yawn!

I dont know why everyone's making a fuss over how bad Season 2 was...I enjoyed it SOO much!! Especially episodes after 'Four months ago', lots of twists including Adam/Peter joining forces, the ending finished in suspense, not so dramatic like Season One but it was still shocking when Nathan got shot at the last minute...now I want to know whats going to happen in Season 3! Adam/Takenzo Kensei was an interesting character who stood out the most, I hope he returns along with the rest of the cast who we last saw in the finale, Niki, Nathan, all of them. Season Two - 10/10!

A throughly dissapointing season on the whole, the storylines just felt inconsequential and the storylines were just a repeat of S1 but set at a different time. For S3 they really need to think about moving it forward, something that the series '4400' always managed to do convincingly. There is always potential with Heroes but I fear some of the original essence of it all has been lost, especially with the last scene in S2, if the brothers chemistry has been lost then I feel it's a bad move. Let's hope they really focus on S3 now after that dismal effort.

I completely agree with almost all of this review. I would also like to express my annoyance at the series overall trend of killing off a partially developed character almost every episode. Once, maybe twice a season, having a character die in a dramatic fashion is fine, but now it's just getting tedious. This show is supposed to be a heroic story with a bit of comic book style and having a constant massacre of characters doesn't seem very heroic at all. Rename the series to Dead Heroes.

I quite enjoyed the 2nd season. Probably more than the first, maybe because it was shorter. Although I always end up looking at my watch 10 minutes in wondering when they are going to finish because they do drag on.

I Think That They Left So Many Questions Unanswered That It Was Quite Hard To Follow. You Couldnt Miss It Because The Next Week You'd Be Like , Well What Happened There? They should Have Made It Longer Or At Least Made The Ending So You Werent Left Asking Yiur Self "Whats Happened?"

Elle was by far the best part of season two, hopefully her horrible past will be explored more in season 3. Perhaps she will turn against her father and the company? Niki was completely under-used in s2. She had a fantastic storyline in s1 and she just didn't in this season! Although she was blown up in the season finale, hopefully she'll return and have better storylines in s3!
