House to be split into Heaven and Hell

The Big Brother house is to be divided in two this weekend, with an elected "head of house" ruling over both sides.

Presenter Davina McCall teased the audience at the end of Mario’s interview tonight, telling them that he had escaped "in the nick of time".

"This weekend, housemates will elect their first ever head of house," she said. "This housemate will be in complete control of the whole house which will be divided into two: One side will be heaven, and the other side will be absolute hell."

She then broke into an evil cackle as footage of the unsuspecting housemates returned to viewers' screens.

The last time Big Brother divided the house was in series three, when bars were laid throughout its entire length.

The "poor" side was forced to watch enviously as the "rich" group partied with alcohol and TV treats.
