Dale came into the luxury bedroom from the garden and sat next to Darnell, who was chatting to Maysoon. He said: "I can't sit outside when Rex is going on about his girlfriend, I'm sick of it."
Darnell laughed and said: "Again? It's day after day after day with him." He then told Maysoon and Dale that Rex talked about his girlfriend to make other girls like him.
"Really?" Maysoon said. "I would have thought that would put them off."
But Dale and Darnell explained that they could see what he was doing, with Dale saying: "It's like, you talk about your girlfriend and after you've had a few drinks the girl will say 'oh I wish I had a boyfriend like you' and then Rex would probably say 'well, you can if you want' kind of thing."
Darnell added that he knew other men who behaved the same way, saying: "When I upset Sara I was interested to see Rex go straight out to the garden to see if she was alright."
