In last week’s round of voting, Darnell said he was "doing Rex a favour" because he was under the impression that the restaurateur wanted to leave.
After finding out that he was up for the chop, he confessed his reasoning to his nominee.
"Oh, you idiot!" laughed Rex. "I told you not to say that!"
"I thought I was doing you a favour," said Darnell, as he explained his motives to the other housemates. "That’s why I did it - because he told me he wanted me to! I took him seriously. I just told him I was sorry before I leave."
But after an initially gracious acceptance of his jail term, the rapper grew irritated at the speed of his punishment because he did not want to miss the alarm clock task.
"This sucks!" he told Mo. "That task was fun. This was my only chance to show the public that I’m better than some of these fools - most of these fools. Why’d they have to do it today?"
"Man, that was quick," said a sympathetic Mo.
“I’m gonna be in here for 18 hours,” he groaned, as he prepared himself for a cold night in the cell.
