Elton John to perform on 'World Idol'

Elton John will perform before a global audience on the finale of World Idol.

Zap2it quotes the show's executive producer, Richard Holloway, as saying:

"We are thrilled that Sir Elton John is to perform on World Idol. Sir Elton is without a doubt one of the greatest international recording artists of all time and I am sure he is an 'Idol' and inspiration to many of those contestants participating in the show. His appearance underlines the magnitude of World Idol and will be a major highlight to what promises to be an unmissable final show."

The two-part global television event will air on ITV1 at 8:30pm on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, along with other TV channels around the world.
