Cole feud causes editing drama for Girls

Cheryl Cole has cancelled plans to end her feud with Charlotte Church in Girls Aloud's new book.

The popstar has exchanged insults with Church in the press for years, but had decided to bury the hatchet by publicly stating that she regretted her behaviour in the group's joint autobiography.

However, Cole regretted her decision after Charlotte described Girls Aloud as "five dogs without balls" in an episode of her Channel 4 chat show. Church also criticised her rival for walking off the set of X Factor when she was asked to judge her old friend Nikk Mager.

A source told The Sun: "Charlotte made some entirely unprovoked attacks and that changed Cheryl's mind on the matter.

"After hearing them she was straight on to the publishers to tell them to remove the passage. They weren't best pleased to be tinkering with it at this late stage but said they would do their best."

Girls Aloud: Dreams That Glitter tells the story of the group's rise from Popstars hopefuls to Britain's biggest girl band. It will be released next month.
