Oasis have confirmed details of their first ever headline concert at Dublin's Slane Castle.
The band will play the venue, which is located near Boyne Valley, on Saturday, June 20, 2009.
Previous acts to perform at the legendary venue include U2, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen. Oasis played as special guests for REM at Slane in 1995.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, October 24. A similar large outdoor show is scheduled to take place in Manchester next summer, but the venue has not been revealed.
Earlier today, the group also announced a 13-date Western European jaunt for early next year. Confirmed dates include shows in France, Germany, Portugal and Austria.
