2 million see 'Back To Reality' final

A peak of almost 2 million viewers tuned in to see James Hewitt win the title of "ultimate reality TV champion" on Friday night.

The two hour Back To Reality finale averaged 1.62 million and a 7.85% share of the audience. Viewing peaked as the result was announced at 10.30pm with 1.98 million (10.80%).

Notably, the figures for the final are down on those for the first episode three weeks ago, which had 1.8 million.

Throughout its run the show failed to spark significant interest - neither in the ratings nor amongst the media - casting serious doubt on whether Back To Reality will itself be back again for another shot.
