Pop Idol contestant Roxanne Cooper has been approached by producers of Coronation Street about a role on the soap, The Sun reports today.

The 17-year-old, who made it into the top five of last year's show, is in talks about a part, but nothing has yet been finalised.

Meanwhile, Roxanne is still pursuing her music career and has a single out in September.
