American Idol runner-up Diana DeGarmo has been injured after falling down a flight of stairs, MTV News reports today.

The singer was in Michigan performing at the 'American Idol Live Tour' when the incident happened Tuesday night.

Her fall came during a dance routine for Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love' with the other female finalists.

After finishing the song, she was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where x-rays confirmed she had no broken bones but had incurred a "severe bruising."

Doctors advised her not to perform the following night at the next stop on the tour, Detroit, although she did appear briefly to sing her debut single 'Dreams', which requires little choreography.

The single has been number two on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for three weeks.
