Cowell makes Shrek 2 DVD appearance

Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell is set to make a cameo appearance on the Shrek 2 DVD.

Cowell appears in one of the DVD's special features - a skit called Far, Far Away Idol. An animated version of Simon judges some of the movie's characters as they sing on stage. His fellow judges will be Shrek himself and Princess Fiona.

Acts which Simon judges include Donkey singing Disco Inferno, and Prince Charming performing I'm Too Sexy.

This isn't the first time that Cowell has made a cameo appearance. He showed up in Scary Movie 3, but later admitted that he regretted the role.
