Christina Aguilera is postponing her wedding to her long-term boyfriend, Jordan Bratman, because she doesn't want people to think that they are getting hitched to copy her rival Britney Spears and her fiance Kevin Federline.

Having criticised Britney of rushing into marriage, Christina is wary of following suit. She told US Jane magazine that "Jordan's the one guy I can credit for making me think anout marriage in a whole new light. Right now, everybody else is jumping the gun. I don't want to jump into marriage yet."

"Everybody else" could be construed as being aimed at Spears, who has been with her partner for just four months.

This news follows Aguilera's attack on Spears, saying that she acts like 'trailer trash' and expressed the opinion that her self-bought engagement looked like it was from QVC.

However, if Aguilera is trying to prevent the appearance of copying Britney she might be going the wrong way about it, as it was reported this morning that all is not well in the world of Britney and Kevin.
