Following recent software updates to Sky+, viewers of the Uefa Champions League matches on Sky Sports will now be able to record matches normally only available via the red button interactive service.

Sky says that the new feature, which is expected to have been made available today (29th September), should also be available on its Saturday night Premiership coverage within the next couple of months.

Director of new product development and sales at Sky, Brian Sullivan, said of the new feature: "Interactive recording gives our customers even more flexibility, choice and control over their TV viewing.

"We will continue to develop the functionality with a view to extending the application to other third party channels and interactive services."
