TV card maker Hauppauge has released patches to overcome problems users have experienced with their tuners after applying Service Pack 2 to Windows XP.

Security improvements in the Microsoft service pack resulted in Windows blocking IP traffic to and from the Hauppauge tuner device in users' PCs. The new version of the drivers, v2.17g, resolves this issue.

Devices affected by the page are Hauppauge's range of DTT tuner cards, including the WinTV Nova-T and the DEC2000-t. The new drivers can be downloaded from the Hauppauge website.
