Osbourne matriarch Sharon has been named Rock Personality of the Year, following her husband's victory last year.

Sharon, 52, won the title in a year in which she bit back at fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell and attacked the series' winner, Steve Brookstein.

In second place was Sir Bob Geldof "for re-forming Band Aid and taking on the world again".

Mouthy Sir Elton John was third for his rants about Madonna and her lip-synching and the "rude, vile pigs" that are the Taiwanese media.
