Goddard slams ITV for 'Trisha' helpline

Trisha Goddard has criticised ITV for continuing to plug a premium-rate phone number inviting viewers onto her show - even though she left the network in November.

Goddard quit ITV and moved to Five last year, in a deal worth a reported £3 million. Her new show begins on Five next week.

Despite this, ITV's repeats continue to run, and still invite viewers to call "Trisha's Dilemma Line" if they wish to appear on the show.

Trisha told The Mirror, "I'm worried viewers are spending their money trying to contact me at a place where I no longer work. I'm at a loss to understand why ITV is still running the phonelines when there are no new Trisha shows to appear on."

An ITV spokesman explained, "We explain that Trisha is no longer here. It is then a matter of choice whether they decide to be involved in our replacement show."
