Sky are "in talks" with A&E about launching a UK crime channel, according to this week's Broadcast.

The pair are planning a UK version of A&E's Crime and Investigation network, which launched in Australia in January and is set to debut in the US next month.

The station features a combination of dramas and documentaries centring on serious crimes and the people who commit them.

"We're pretty excited about the brand and we're talking to a lot of different people about launching on a lot of different platforms worldwide," an A&E spokesperson told the magazine.

Sky is already partnered with A&E for UK versions of The History Channel and The Biography Channel.
