Chef Gary Rhodes has warned that he won't be taking any prisoners when he takes over from Gordon Ramsay on the new series of Hell's Kitchen.

The new series of ITV1's reality show will see ordinary members of the public being taught how to cook, and serving meals to celebrity diners.

Rhodes told The Sun, "I am incredibly passionate about cooking and expect everyone who works in my kitchen to give 200 per cent at all times.

"I won't tolerate passengers or anyone whose sole aim is just to get their face on TV."

Rhodes will be joined by Jean Christophe Novelli, who will also be coaching the contestants.

Novelli explained, "For me, food and cooking is an art, very creative and kind of sexy. For the trainees it's a great chance to learn the passion of cooking."

The show is expected to be screened live over a number of consecutive nights, following the ratings success of series one.
