Mike Skinner a.k.a The Streets has written a letter to KFC complaining about the treatment of chickens destined for its restaurants.

He stated that any changes made to the circumstances in which 750,000 chickens are raised and slaughtered annually would leave the company in a "win-win" situation.

A similar letter from The Beastie Boys last year read: "You have a responsibility to tell your suppliers that what they are doing is wrong. By doing nothing, you are to blame for the cruelty that these chickens endure, which is truly sickening."

A KFC spokesman said: “KFC GB Ltd only represents a small part of the UK chicken supply and uses the same suppliers as other leading retailers.

“We are committed to poultry welfare and all our suppliers are regularly audited and meet or exceed UK and EU regulations on quality and welfare.???
