Old box but considered one of the best in its day. It still has a good reputation for tuner sensitivity if you're in a fringe area. If you're contemplating one of these boxes now it will inevitably be second hand. You MUST check the EPG software version, as if the box is left off stream for too long it misses too many updates and is UNABLE to catch up - the effect of this can be that the box is unable to recognise the yellow house viewing cards.

I've had 3 of these boxes in as many weeks. All 3 developed faults, picture freezing, unable to access interactive sevices, tinny sound, the list goes on. One to avoid! Oh, what price to get my old Pace box back........

I agree about the sound issues. Some music channels are almost unlistenable, Sky are aware of the problem, but unwilling to do anything about it. They takes your money and don't give a stuff!

I consider this box to be one of the best made,my kids listen to the music channels all the time,I've had the odd problem like remote led stuck on.Software download clears most problems as with most boxes.this box i've had for 5yrs and is still fast to operate unlike most of the other.Be warned that some tv's are incompatable with many boxes.

If your Pana digibox freezes up, it is more than likely it is overheating. I fitted a 40mm fan on the lid of mine above a retro-fitted heat sink on the main CPU which has cured it from lock-ups. You could also take the lid off it to double check that it is your problem as it will run cooler.

I got this box and have had it for 6 years, I had no problem with it and its still fast to operate. All channels are very clear and reliable. My EPG software is always up-to-date.
