
Joss Whedon's Serenity battled its way to the top of the UK box office chart last weekend.
The crew's first feature-length outing removed Jane Austen adaptation Pride and Prejudice from number one, pushing it down one place.
Meanwhile, Roman Polanski's take on Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist entered the chart in third place, ahead of David Cronenberg's A History of Violence.
