David Beckham and Angelina Jolie are the two stars gays and lesbians would most like to marry, according to a poll by Gaydar Radio.

England captain Becks, 30, pulled in 19% of the gay male vote, narrowly ahead of actor Vin Diesel and singer Robbie Williams, each on 18%.

Meanwhile, bisexual Jolie romped to victory amongst lesbians with 32% of the vote. Jodie Foster had 18% for second, with Keira Knightley on 11% and Charlize Theron on 10%.

Surprise entries included Weakest Link toughnut Anne Robinson with a 3% vote share and bearded movie veteran Tom Selleck, who attracted 4%.

“I think it’s great that as well as the world’s most attractive people getting into our top ten we are also seeing the likes of Tom Selleck in there too," commented Robin Crowley, Station Manager of Gaydar Radio. "But it was something of a surprise to me that Anne Robinson has such a female following. It must be her dominatrix persona the girls like!???

Civil partnerships become legal in the UK on December 21.
