Leslie Ash has announced that she is ready to make a return to acting.

The Men Behaving Badly and Merseybeat star nearly died after contracting the MSSA bug during a stay in hospital last year.

"I'm just coming to the end of my recovery and am ready to get back to work," she explained. I was really scared it might have been all over, but I am doing well and it's looking good. I would be ready for a few days work in a nice guest part."
