Well I bought this box 2 weeks ago, finally giving in to TopUp Tv. It's a nice slim design in silver and looks lovely with my Tv and DVD player. It was easy to set up and the card activated without any problem. The menu is nice and easy to use, you are able to rename and move channel order (they keep their original LCNs too which is handy). 8Day epg works a charm, the only exception being E4+1 which regularly has its data missing. Not had any major problems with this box so far. A few minor niggles are that some times time share TopUp tv channels don't work on the first use, for example UKTV gold may not come on - just a blank screen, the only way I've found to correct this is to turn off the power supply and back on again. The same corrects the problem of digital text, occasionally you cannot acces text and red button prompts fail to appear. Apart from these minor niggles I'd say its a great box, picks up signal well and worth the money. I bought mine from Currys for £59.99. A bargain for the box and top up tv is worth the £7.99 a month for Discovery and UKTV Gold alone!

I bought this STB about four months ago, it runs superbly, not one lockup in all that time. I ran Topup TV and never had a problem with that either. One of the plusses for me is that when the timer operates the on light glows steady red and when recording there is a flashing green light so you know when the recording has activated, also it does dot switch the tv to the program you are recording if you have switched scarts. I can highly recommend this unit.

The things described in the reviews sound like its the same as the Matsui/Astratec etc. - which are a cheaper way to buy.

I bought one of these for an elderly relative last Christmas. It mostly does what it says on the tin - it hasn't locked up yet, is simple to use and handles TUTV OK. Minor gripes include that the EPG is a bit slow to navigate around (after moving down to a particular channel in the guide the EPG data takes a while to appear). Also, it sometimes "forgets" how to unscramble TUTV channels, so needs to be turned off and on again. The PSU is built into the plug and is a bit bulky which could limit where you could plug it in. There's no RF modulator, which is a shame.
