No Scientology for Holmes' birth

Tom Cruise, seeming missionary for the Church of Scientology, has suggested that he and wife Katie Holmes will bend the rules slightly while she has her first child.

The Church of Scientology recommends that the mother be silent through the entire birthing process, as the screaming may distress the child during its first moments on earth. Top Scientologists have suggested that the celebrity couple will adopt this method.

Cruise insists, however, that Holmes will be allowed to scream all she wants. "I want Kate to be as comfortable as possible and whatever she's going to go through she's going to go through and I'm going to be there. She's going to make noise, I'm sure."
