Got this box as part of my install. Disappointed as really wanted a Pace DS430N. Anywat the box isn't that pretty or well designed. Scrolling quickly through the channels seems to cause the freeze for a few seconds. Other than that the box is OK but basic.

Hitesh, London on December 29th, 2005
Looks better then the pace boxes but does seem freeze occaisionly for a few seconds and sometimes the audio is behind the video and the box has to be restarted to fix the problem

David, Fareham on January 3rd, 2006
I too have just been given one of these on a new installation. Pretty poor box compared to some I've used in the past, such as the Panasonic TU-DSB40. It's quite plasticky and ugly, channel changing seems slow and laggy, and the box hasn't updated itself with the new EPG software yet. It has also crashed twice so far in a fortnight. Worst of all, however, the remote control sensor seems very insensitive, so you have to point the remote almost directly at the box, which is very irritating if you've got furniture or objects nearby and it misses a keypress. No more of these please, Sky.

Good box had it 3 weeks then it when bang now replaced by a grundig box

I am very dissappointed with this box. It crashes more than my PC!!!!! Disgusting, it freezes at least once a week. Loses signal at least once a month, forcing an unplug and then turn on again. Picture quality fairly poor too. Avoid if at all possible.

Gethin Lewis, Carmarthenshire on January 29th, 2006
Received this box with my installation and although not as pretty as other boxes, it works a treat. I can't believe that others have had problems. Scrolls through channels easily and no crashes (so far! 3 months on). On average a decent box.

Paul, Liverpoool on February 7th, 2006
Had it for 3 weeks now, and finding it fine. Scrolling through channels a little slow but don't see this as a problem. Picture quality fine.

Dave, Bristol on February 18th, 2006
Best looking box on the market. No problems with freezing or scrolling. Very pleased with it.

Carol, Henbury on March 1st, 2006
An elegant and expensive looking box with no faults whatsoever. ["plasticky and ugly, not as pretty as other boxes"???]. You guys have got the wrong box.

David, Hailsham on March 2nd, 2006
Had this box as part of freesat installation 6 months ago. Very pleased with it. No problems at all.

I have had this box for about a year and occasionally, it needs to be unplugged for various reasons. When quickly scrolling through channels, the screen freezes for a few seconds but the big problem I had was, I would often forget to switch box onto standby and this eventually caused a high pitched squeal from the box than continued unless you unplugged the box for at least a day to cool down. Now my box gets switched to standby each night before going to bed.

3 units replaced in matter of 4 weeks the latest one just does what it wants after being on for 10 mins then switches off.

this box is noisy and has crashed twice in the first week after the install, still it is slightly better than the 2 crappy amstrad boxes that went faulty in the first week.
