Chastity Bono is to star on the new US season of Celebrity Fit Camp.

The daughter of Sonny and Cher weighs in at over 200 pounds, completely polarised from her skinny mother.

Bono told Entertainment Tonight about her reasons for wanting to join the show. "I had a drug problem for a long time," she explained. "I've been in recovery for about 18 months now, so this last 18 months, I really spent time on that and my mental and emotional health. I was just starting to go the gym and deal with the physical stuff when Celebrity Fit Club called.

"I got my dad's side of the family. My dad's side of the family has the weight problem. I would love to have a body more like mum's," she added.
