Joe Pasquale has been chosen to host a new version of The Price Is Right, according to a report in The Sun today.
The show, made famous under Leslie Crowther in the 80s, has been earmarked for ITV1's 5pm slot from the Spring.
The quiz will replace Paul O' Grady, who recently defected to C4, in the slot and is the latest in the resurgence of gameshows. Family Fortunes is also to return this year under new host Vernon Kay.
Other options for the 5pm slot have included talkshows fronted by Pasquale, Cilla Black and Corrie star Bradley Walsh.
