Daniela Neumann is to leave ITV after four years, the network announced today.

Neumann, controller of commissioned programming for both ITV2 and ITV3, has been responsible for ITV2's trademark 'spinoff' shows such as The Xtra Factor and original hits Haunted Homes, Office Monkey and Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie.

"It was a very difficult decision to leave ITV but I feel that after four years of building up ITV2... and overtaking Sky One, I have achieved what I set out to do and it is now time to move on," said Neumann. "My aim was to make ITV2 the cheekier younger sibling to ITV1 and that is exactly what I have done."

The news comes amid speculation that Steven Andrew, ITV's controller of off-peak, will be offered a new position overseeing ITV's multichannel portfolio.

"We are sorry to see Daniela leave ITV," said Simon Shaps, ITV's director of television. "She has done a phenomenal job for ITV2 - she gave the channel a very strong identity and has commissioned and overseen some of the highest rated original commissions in multichannel television. We wish her the best with whatever she decides to do next."
