Compared to other high end TVs this unit has a lot of extra features that made me choose it over the high end Toshiba and Philips models. Freeview tuner picked up 80 digital channels 5 mins out of the box. Manual is comprehensive and explains how to set up all the inputs and features. Memory card slot accepts all nornal formats and remote lets you run a slide show or play MP3s from the card. I use the panel as a PC monitor as well with crystal clear image - picture in picture lets you watch TV as well as surfing the net. Easy to read emails from 12 ft away. Unit looks classy and well built - its heavy though and needs 2 people to move it about safely. I've not tried a high def source yet but Roll on the World Cup All in all , I'm very happy I've made the right choice and got a nice bit of kit that'll not be useless in 5 year time.

I picked an LG 37LP1D up late last year for a bargain price and have generally been very pleased. The card slots are a great help for viewing your digital camera pictures quickly. I haven't viewed any HD stuff yet. I am not sure if the 720p limit on this set will be a limitation but what the heck it's too late now! My only gripes... 1. No off button I can find, it's always left in standby mode. 2. Not compatible with the earlier version of SKY+ remote controls. 3. Blacks could be a little darker to improve the image. Basically, not the best LCD around, but a fantastic budget buy. I am very pleased.
