Good picture rendition. Sturdy build. Good on-screen menu display which is easy to follow. Excelent conectivity to almost any audio visual device. Read up internet info on plasma screen do'es and don'ts before purchase, it could be a waste of £££ if you burn the screen. Digital reception is a bit fussy when it comes to signal strength (idealy 70%+). Due to its weight it can be problematic if you are contemplating wall mounting (if in the slightest doubt, seek professional advice). wall mounting issues can usually be resolved if a) the wall is strong enough, b) the loading is spread over a large enough area c) chemical resin anchored rawl bolts are used and d)a prayer to the all mighty would'nt go amiss. When selecting a tilt wall mount bracket, bear in mind clearances for the input/output cables and because of its shear wieght I would not personally recomend using a swivel tilt type bracket that would put even more distance away from the wall and therefore more cantelevered loading on the wall and fixings. A BIG minus point is the speakers are not detachable. the biggest plus point is LG plasma screens are used by quite a lot of other TV manufacturers and they appear to charge more for the same or less.

I picked up one of these sets after watching the price fall steadily from £4k to £1.9K. The Mpeg-2 tuner wasn't an issue for me because I live in a weak reception area and always need a Philips box (I've had a lot of On Digital boxes and they are the best) for a watchable picture. Looking forward to when Philips bring out a Freeview box that up-scales the picture although the current one is pretty good despite being stretched to 50". I've had no problem with the set after 2 weeks and Curry's delivery was flawless. The only minor gripe is that along with other sets, it's not easy for these sets to display a true Black colour. I didn't bother getting stand from the shop as they were expensive. Ebay got me an £89 10mm glass affair (GT-5) which should hold 3 times the TV's weight (I hope!) TV weighs in at 44kg which is heavy.

I have had one since last November and the first one was replaced after 2 weeks and numerous calls to the shop as the hdmi board had failed. The second one has worked fine until this week when the remote facility appears to have completely failed. I have now emailed LG to find out what to do next. HD picture via Telewest is good.

The DTT functionality failed on mine a few months ago and it went to repairers (DSG) but they couldn't find a problem (despite it crashing when you go into DTT setup menus!) HD pictues good - SD disapointing - showing all flaws in broadcast quality. Its also VERY heavy - was planning on wall instalation to replace my previous 42" plasma but it would tke 3-4 people to install it! Got a stand instead.

connected to SKY HD via sky supplied HDMI cable. Continuing problems with pinky red image when a light coloured foreground on TV. The pinky image seems to resemble the sky menu banner and on occasions is very noticeable. Problem is intermittent and problem sometimes eases as the set warms up,
