The upscaling to 1080 is very good, its super sharp and it makes your old DVDs look significantly better than before. The colours are also excellent. Maybe just a bit of digital noise but only if you are hypercritical. I considered the Denon 1920 but it's hard to justify £250 when the Samsung quality is so good for only £89. Recommended.

Stunning upscaling on my LCD TV.....Got this for £61 on Amazon, absolute bargain. Couldn't recommend more highly. (£2.99 HMDI cable works a treat too!!)
