Salma Hayek revealed how she was nervous about gaining weight for her love scene in Ask The Dust.

The character that Hayek plays in the movie is meant to be a much rounder, 1930s-esque Mexican woman so as a result the star had to eat a lot of hamburgers to put on the pounds.

However, the actress admits that she was very nervous about showing off her newly curvy figure in a sex scene with co-star Colin Farrell. It was the irish actor who put Hayek at her ease: "Once I got naked with all that weight I said: 'You know what? It's okay,'" she said.

"For all of Mr Farrell's reputation, the man never looked at me while we were doing the scene.

"He kept his glance at my eyes. He never once looked down and I never told him not to."
