a great sounding dab radio with seperate bass & treble controls. reception is good, however the rd 25/15 are slightly more sensitive. the fm is good and, of course, sounds better than dab. i use it as a good fm portable. the sound is rich and has the top end i enjoy - which is what lets the 25/15 down. the best sounding dab radio i've come across so far. only achieving a "good" in the ratings because the 25 is more sensitive.

Poor FM reception. Unable to turn the bass up past No2 before really bad distortion happened.

No better than the 40 year old Telefunken it replaced. Eats batteries at the rate of 6xD per month. Poor reception which aids to the battery eating problem. Could do with more preset buttons. Not impressed.

Commenting on the other reviews most dab radios have poor speakers on them since the dab chips cost quite a lot and so push the price up reducing money available for things like decent speakers. The other dab radios have similiar speakers with the only exception being the dualit radio at £200. If you priority is good loud sound your old fm radio will be better or the expensive dualit. This roberts radio is well built and adequate sounding hence 4/5 rletive to other dab radios
