'The Hills Have Eyes' tops UK box office

Alexandre Aja's The Hills Have Eyes enjoyed a strong opening in the UK last weekend, taking £1.13 million.

The remake of Wes Craven's cult classic displaced the previous week's number one, Date Movie, which earned £760,000 over the three-day period.

Meanwhile, the week's other new releases, including Al Pacino / Matthew McConaughey thriller Two For The Money and the Nick Cave-penned The Proposition failed to make it into the top ten.
