Online episodes for US 'Office'

NBC intends to keep up the momentum behind The Office this summer by airing ten standalone episodes exclusively online at NBC.com.

The series of episodes, nicknamed "webisodes", will star the accounting staff of Dunder Mifflin in "an edge-of-your-ergonomically-designed-seat whodunit".

The plot will follow accountants Angela, Kevin and Oscar as they attempt to determine who has stolen $3000 from the office.

The Office - already renewed for next season - has built a solid audience in the US, averaging 8.7 million viewers a week since its move to Thursday nights in January.
