Nine has signed an exclusive output deal with Sony Pictures for a range of film and TV content.
The news comes just a day after the broadcaster announced a four-year output deal with Lionsgate Entertainment and covers titles from Sony's movie library, feature films and miniseries. Also included are the rights to Kidnapped, a new NBC drama about a family whose fifteen-year-old son is held for ransom.
“This is an important relationship for Nine," said Eddie McGuire, chief executive at Nine. "Sony is one of the world’s most successful and powerful studios producing the sort of shows we’re sure Australian television viewers will love."
