Well its not bad when it's working! but I've had numerous problems with it over the 3 months I've owned it and I'm about to get it exchanged for a different model. Sounds isn't great either - basically give this model a miss!

Not really worked well from the start. Did not help getting poor information from Hitachi when it first went wrong. I new mother board and 3 days off work later and now they will take it away to "fix" it. Why do i not believe them. Awful picture problems, wished i had never bought it.

No problems so far, excellent picture quality and sound is ok, however since HD box fitted I have to go through all 6 ext every time I turn on, it takes about 2 minutes and Hitachi had no quicker method when I rang them, it is getting to be very frustrating!!

Has anyone had a problem when using this with sky HD? I have found that the picture goes off after around 2 hours use and all I am left with is a blank green screen! SKY say it is a problem with the TV.

Had the TV for nearly twelve months and it has been brilliant. When HD came along I was one of the first to get it and it has been fantastic. I have only one minor issue is the selection for the digital line for start up takes 20 secs, hey what is 20 secs. Everything else has been great. I strongly recommend the TV.

This is without doubt the worst TV I have ever bought. I bought a Samsung DVD upscaler three weeks ago, used it via HDMI, watched one film, it blew the board, comet came out to fit a new board, same day watched a DVD and blew the board again, they’re coming out again this week, £339 to replace the board so the receipt says, everything else has been tested and its ok, do not buy this TV it's crap. Even the picture is rubbish.

Well I bought this TV in Jan 2006 and I have to say it isn't bad, I suppose it all depends on what is being broadcasted at the time, if I’m watching Sky movies the picture is excellent or if I watch something on let's say Living TV it's really poor quality at times. I tried it in HD through a XBOX 360 and I was really impressed with the quality

Great set but problem with menu reseting to Slovak, Italian and Russion only!

When it works, it’s a good set. However, mine (like others) has suffered from a blanking screen while watching any source. It finally got so bad it spent 3 weeks away being repaired. After 2 months it has failed again will not show any source at all when powered up (not even its own on-screen menus). Going back for repair again :( It seems this model suffers from 'blown' boards.

I bought this in December 2005. Within a few days, the sound had gone completely and it had to be replaced. A few weeks later the picture had completely gone and it had to be replaced again (with great difficulty as they were trying to tell me i had to take it back to the store, when my warranty clearly said it had to be picked up from me, which it finally was). Now, a year and a half later, the sound has disappeared again. The technician on the phone said this tv is known for problems. I think there must be some sort of manufacturing fault with it and I wish i'd never bought it, as these problems are probably never going to end.

No probs with this television. Freeview is good on it. On separate set top box it takes a while to get into 'red button' stuff, but on the freeview in the telly it is really fast. Picture great in SD or HD (via Virgin Media V+ box). Sound is strong for TV speakers.
