Missy Elliott is to bring her life onto the big screen, and Robert De Niro will be the mastermind behind it.

Missy will play herself in the movie, which will be produced by Tribeca Films, De Niro's own company.

The film will tell her whole life story, from her tough start to the peak of her musical career. It will be Elliott's first lead role in a movie.
