TV was delivered on the 24th. Being LCD my main concern was that the normal Sky feed would result in a dodgy picture. I was wrong, the picture is stunning - the quality is almost hi def, without a hi def feed! A massive improvement from my prev top end sony CRT. Buy this TV now (if you can get hold of it!)

Just received item today from empire direct, and what can I say the TV was worth the wait, picture on hidef is the best I've seen on any tv. On normal sky tv reception picture and colours have such depth. Cannot see any chosting which is usually a problem with lcd tvs, and this set is £400 cheaper than the latest sonys if you buy from empire.

Had it for a fortnight now, SD is almost as good as HD, stunning. If you're after a top end HDTV, you will not get better than this.

I bought my Philips 32PF9731D 3 months ago through Empire Direct. The first one was faulty, the TV shutdown and the restarted, had it replaced by Empire straight away, and the new one is great, I’ve looked at a lot of 32 inch sets and this is currently the best one on market for picture quality, absolutely stunning on normal TV and now on my new HD box.

I am an engineer, my opinion is that Philips LCD and plasma TV's have a lot of software problems plus part become obsolete in a short period of time. Just a some thing to think about.
