Sophie rants about 'Island' life

Love Island star Sophie Anderton is unhappy with the way the series is progressing.

The model admitted that she is missing her family and isn't enjoying being ignored by the male contestants.

"I am not in a very good mood today," she said in the Beach Hut. "I was crying earlier with Kelle and I thought it would be me voted out. As much as I don't want to go, I miss my family and friends - I'm finding it tough."

Finally seeing the light over her crush on Shane Lynch, she explained, "Nothing is going to happen with Shane and me in here - I feel I have pushed him away and let's be honest I have more chance of finding love in the outside world.

"With Shane and I there is an attraction, there is a connection - one slight problem, I've kind of worked it out, I don't think it will work anyway because abstinence from sex is not something I intend to do for the rest of my life until I get married."

Anderton then complained that the show has been too tame compared to last year's series.

"Get some cute guys in here otherwise I'm shutting up, I've had it. This isn't how I planned on spending my summer," she ranted. "Last year you had Fran and Calum in for f***'s sake; this year you have Shane who's totally abstinent from sex and doesn't even know how to flirt with a woman half the time and that's it."

"If you keep throwing loads of girls in I'll be lesbian by the end of the show," she added.
