A dab radio that doesn`t break the bank at a cost of £39.99 from Tesco on line. The radio runs a very long time on 3000 mAp C size cells (estimated at around 24hrs at medium volume)the add on chargePak supposed to run for around 20hrs(£29.99 when available) and fits into the battery compartment and plugs in to a special socket thus allowing it to charge when mains is connected(what a great idea) just remove the power adapter and take it in the garden fully charged. The case is plastic but of good quality and the radio doesn`t feel cheap for all that. Tuning dab was a breeze with signal strengths on par with my other dabs. I was pleasantly surprised at the tone and sound quality of this single speaker radio (full marks Pure) A decent quality telescopic aerial and simple easy to follow controls with all the normal benefits of Dab readouts(inc the new sports gizmo display) There is a usb port for future software upgrades. So the main plus points = sound quality, battery life, cost and real portability. This has become a real favourite in our household. I suppose a wish list would see me wanting an external antenna socket but to be fair it might take away the enjoyment of its superb portabilty and that is what this radio is all about.
